A dedicated art director with an extensive graphic design background, I’m a proven team leader with experience of running a busy graphics desk for one of the UK's top national newspapers. Recent achievements during more than 15 years in the industry include launching Bloomberg Businessweek in the Middle East. Highlights during six years as Art Director at Bloomberg included internationally recognised cover concepts and having my work exhibited at London Design Museum.
Working as a freelance designer, projects have included art direction, design and production of a new World Health Organization publication for the G20 in Japan, and the official summit publications for the G20, and G7 in France. Clients have also included Dubai Tourism, providing multi-platform design solutions for both their leisure tourism and business teams. I also produce the official yearbook for the UAE Embassy in London and Arabian Travel Market.
On the commercial side, I have provided 360-degree design support for several companies, including for a major Chinese telecommunications firm launching a new product here in the UAE. This included bespoke illustrations and animated gifs for social media, as well as a full design package for their high-profile launch event. I also have extensive experience in creating marketing collateral, from proposals and presentations, to brochures and banners, while I can easily turn my hand to copywriting.
